Are your full size fridge and freezer sitting right next to each other?

Having had a side-by-side fridge/freezer, I can't say I'm a fan. My family is now too big for one, lol (they seemed less efficient, space-wise).

When you say, "matching" appliances, are you referring to the rest of the kitchen, like ranges, dishwashers, microwaves, wall ovens?

I'm assuming you don't want a black and white look, yes?

How do you feel about panels (to cover the appliances with matching cabinetry)?

We are doing a white and grey kitchen and we went with stainless steel.

Keep looking for various manufacturer's appliances.

You don't like stainless and you don't like black. So it's white. Consider GE Artistry for a slight retro look

ODD - yes, the fridge and freezer will be next to each other.

I really don't like black in a kitchen, so yes, I'd prefer to avoid it.

I LOVE panels when well done, but hate them when you can see bits of the appliance color behind them.

Sorry, lol, I just reread my post... I think I confused "side by side" with the single appliance that is called a "side by side." I LOVE the idea of a single fridge right next to a single freezer (with opposite door swings so they work like double or french doors).

If you can find appliances in the right shade of white, that would be great. With all of the different whites out there, I would be afraid that either the appliances or the cabinets would look just a bit dirty, which is why I was thinking of the panels.

And, hey, if you want to minimize the appliance color peeking through, you could always get white appliances and put panels over them (assuming they clash with the cabinetry, of course). :-)
