How to decorate an L-shaped living space?

I just moved into a townhouse that has a greatroom for a LR and DR. I want to use the space only as a living area though, with maybe a small desk, but no dining area. Definitely need a TV area and a storage piece for kitchen overflow, All suggestions welcome!!

Since it is hard to get a feel for the space with all the clutter a detailed floor plan would be a huge help and since you need storage for the kitchen overflow I would start with that in the DR space then work around it . I find it odd you want no eating space is there lots in the kitchen/

OK - I made a floorplan. Does this help? I don't need an eating space here because I have an eat-in kitchen.
