Of course there is hope but my impression looking at the climate details for Paraguay that maybe it is not quite Vanda paradise.

At the spring orchid show in October here there was One orchid exhibited that you could say was a Vanda and there were 157 other orchids in the display.

Maybe that mount is too arid and the plant might be better in a small pot with a free draining mixture?

Perhaps if you describe the conditions where you have the plant that would help.

Thanks for your response, there is not many vandas here but is because is really expensive, I've mounted this little guy in a coconut trunk because it came in a pot with pine bark and all roots rotten except the one you see in the pic, and even this root has the tip rotting, I've cut and put some mancozeb, here is hot but rainy in spring, I water it twice a day and use b1 vitamin and orchid fertilizer 20-20-20, here is a pic of what I think is a root

Water once a day until the roots turn a brighter green. Gradually increase sunlight until it gets half a day of sun with most shade in the afternoon; hottest part of the day. Spray leaves with a weak solution of fertilizer once a week 1/4 dosage recommended on fertilizer package. Use a fertilizer that doesn't have nitrogen derived from the urea. The tip of the root should be a different color- brownish pink color. The root uses this area of the root to probe the growing area and is coated with a special lubricant to do that. If root tip isn't mushy it should be OK. Good Luck!
