Typically in NC growth stops late December. If we get one of those years, it may not stop at all. Just watch for the grass to stop growing altogether and apply your last round of fertilizer.

As far as watering, decrease to 1" every 2 weeks if this is a newly seeded lawn or 1" every 3 weeks if it's an established lawn.
