Your tile should be sealed PRIOR to install spread out on the floor, and liberally, and again after install.. The seal won't harm the stainless "accents" though I doubt that you need those. Marble is beautiful all alone. Know that grease staining, butter splotches can still stain it. Super quick wipe are necessary behind a cooker.

There is a new sealant for marble called MORE. It is guaranteed to prevent staining for 20 years.

So will saran wrap. For a couple of pennies rather than $$$$. Or any other plastic coating. Or just choosing porcelain.
