I put my childrens' school pictures in an 8x10 frame and hung them, and with each successive year, replaced with the new one. Then when they graduated high school, I had all 13 (+kindergarten) years all in one place!

Only the most recent is displayed currently. I do save all the photos though.

haven't gotten to them all but will have a gallery wall eventually. i am lucky that i have a few pics from my father-in-law's school years.

All school portraits are placed in photo books. I have no photos of family anywhere in my home but do have albums anyone can pick up and thumb through whenever they desire. Refrigerator art is a completely different story. I have framed school art in my bedroom and one bathroom. All are priceless to me.

When my kids entered high school, I put the 5x7 prints from each previous year into pre-matted frames that hold 9 pictures. It's so fun to see their yearly growth.

In pictures in the rec room downstairs is the plan :)

We're a throw them in a box family. We just never cared for the aesthetic of framed portraits, anywhere. We have run into a dilemma now that we are grandparents. Our children are giving us framed family portraits and school pictures as gifts. A credenza now holds said gifts. One frame per family.

I celebrate our lives with photos. Pictures are a snapshot memorialized for eternity. We never know how much time we have to spend with those we truly care for.

We have one of those frames that holds a wallet size of each year's photo (K-12) with a 5x7 space for the current/last one. I keep last year's photo downstairs where a visitor might bump into it, but I don't think I'll keep all the 5x7's otherwise, as that's not the usual size I put into albums...

i had a hinged standing frame for 2 5x7s, one kid on each side. each year i just would put the new one in front, displayed on the bookcase in the den. now my kids are 28 and 30, and their photos are in a box (which i cannot entice them to take away....) but my grandson is 4 months old and i'm sure once he starts school i'll have a nice photo of him someplace. one.

I have a photo gallery wall with Graduation and Wedding photos. I have 2 gallery tables 1 in the great room celebrating the marriages over the last 200 years. I have wedding pictures of great great grandparents. 2 ND in the family room with pictures of brothers and sisters, our children close family. I have scattered photos in bookcases of our travel, nieces and nephews. My husband's military photo with a 48 star flag (passed down) on the mantle. Have started another gallery wall in our bedroom nook of our grandchildren. We have traveled well with our children and have close to 20 or so photo books and a special hard drive for pictures. We have documented our life through photos, and now our children do the same.

For more than 25 years I had family photos every where. When we painted last year, I removed them all. I really like the clean look, so I invested in an electric photo album that displays pictures constantly. I love walking by and seeing different photos. I find myself standing there for ~5 minutes watching the pictures go by. My 2 year old grand daughter is mesmerized!!

When my stepdaughter was a HS senior, I worked for Lifetouch and actually took her Spring photo. Obviously this was special. That photo and some others several years previously were combined with a graduation pic and a prom pic into a 9-lite photo frame that is hung in our informal living room with a matching frame showing similar school pictures of her older brother. Whenever grandkids visited the first time the photos were displayed, it was special to them because they saw photos of both their father and their aunt they had never seen before -- and some of those photos were of the same age as the grandkids.

I never bought the huge pictures. There was no way I was going to hang them framed in the house. I would get a 5x7 for my desk at work and some small ones for grandparents. I much prefer well done black and whites of my family to be framed in my home.

we have a first generation iPad thats useless except for making a wonderful photoframe, great definition and best of all you can have it change the photo once a day, the photoframes you buy cannot go that slow. love it. we dont have the kids school photos on it but do have an odd graduation or wedding photo, among all the vacation ones. i really enjoy seeing it in the morning, as it changes overnight.

I have two drawers in a secretary that hold those school pics and others. No one wants them. They are busy making pictures/memories of their own. I hope to get some of those in albums, but so far the spirit hasn't moved me. We do have some wedding/graduation and other smaller pics out in silver frames. Those 8×10's came with the picture packages. Whoever thought those were a good idea? I still have mine from grade school. They have no use.

My grand daughter likes looking thru the old school portraits of her daddy, her uncle, grand ma and grand pa.

i kept one 8x10 of each of our children displayed throughout the years. Each year I put the new school photo on top of the old. And each year I did that it was like a present to myself as I looked lovely at each picture starting with kindergarten through college graduation and eventually a wedding photo. I plan to give them to my children . . . eventually.

My husband didn't like our son's portrait last year, so he did ones himself in a beautiful outdoor setting. We use our "school photos" in a photojournalistic book that we print annually with our favorite photos from the year. We give some prints to the grandparents but we don't frame any and put up in our own house. I keep a couple too and put in each child's memorabilia box.

I am one of six and my father displayed our school portraits in his den. He was a photo buff and even had our class photos, which years later proves amusing to my children because I married someone from my elementary school and have pics of him for every year we were in the same class.
