Lovely home, great arts and crafts detailing. To me arts and crafts bungalows (which is what you have but on steroids) look best in closely related earth tones- olive, rust, chocolate, burgundy. Never yellow or blue. Look at American bungalow magazine for inspiration. Really what you need is landscaping. Since you have a wood building I would locate most of it out by the street and perimeter of the property to frame the building.

The first thing i would do is remove that hideous awning or the door and not sure what the pink is that looks like a lonely shutter for such a large building the entry looks very small . As for colors what are the materials on the exterior.

Yes the shutter and awning need to go. Judging from the oversized double hung window over the entry, I would guess there used to be a door here to a porch over the entry. It looks like your windows have been replaced, at some point it would be nice to replace those with something more appropriate, I included terrible photos of my old home. Stucco painted burlap, a deep green on the shingles, tudor brown on the trim, orange soffits, and deep burgandy window sashes. I was able to sell it while the kitchen was just studs, I was moving out as the counters got installed...

I'd do the two levels in two shades of gray, with dark window trim.

Then some landscaping and a different solution for the awning...
