soil test need help

Hello this is my second soil test I had got one last year in spring 2015 and I just got another one lawn looks pretty good going into winter but could be better in my opinoin. I'm going to give you 2015 soil test and the one I

did this year and some pics I took on nov 11.I want a prestine lawn one of the best in the neighborhood I have one of the best on the street as of right now.Thanks any help would help me.

Well, I'm not a soil specialist but your soil looks pretty darn good.

Your Organic Matter levels are good. Mulch mow your grass leaving clippings on the lawn and mulch mow any leaves you get into the lawn.

Your pH is high, but not to the point where it would cause health issues to the grass. May cause it to be a lighter green color though. Don't apply any lime. You can darken it with some Ironite or foliar/granular ferrous sulfate if you wish. You can also use ammonium nitrate fertilizer to try and acidify the soil a little bit, but careful the stuff is hot.
Something is amiss with your phosphorus numbers on the latest test. Stay away from any phosphorus containing/starter fertilizers and re-test with Logan Labs again next year.
Nitrogen is going to have the biggest impact on how your grass looks. For a high maintenance lawn, 4-5 lbs of N per year should be applied, with 75% of that applied in the fall.

I would suggest that you delete your post and re-post after you have removed your street address from the new soil test. For your protection, no need to put out personal information on the internet than what is needed.

How did you perform the taking of samples? For example, Did you dig a 3" hole and take the sample from the bottom inch of the hole or did you dig a 4" hole and take a slice of soil from the side of the hole from the surface to the bottom of the hole? How many separate samples did you take and mix together? Did you use the same method for both the new and old test?

What fertilizers did you apply since the old test? How much and when?

Why have you switched soil test laboratories?

Just to be nosy... Why are you using a middle man for soil testing? Why are you using a middle man located in Md when you live in Mo.?

I imagine, particularly this time of year, people get busy and can't get back to this forum. Morpheus seems to be taking a break from his lab analysis. Hopefully he'll be back in the spring.
