This is what 'scrappy' looks like to me! I'm working on the Double Wedding Ring quilt for my step-daughter and had to start not-matching sections together. Skipped the wine tonight, and went with asking the kids for help. lol

From here, I start building egg shaped sections. Progress is happening, but it's slow. But then 2,003 pieces take awhile! It'll get there....eventually.

And, stick with the wine! You're going to need it before that is assembled.

Can I send my kitten Sami to help you? LOL I had a whole bunch of pieces of 4 patches and triangle-squares neatly stacked up by the sewing machine - they are all over the floor now. :)

I can't wait to see the finished project! I made a DWR wall hanging years ago and it wasn't nearly as difficult as I imagined it would be.

Can't wait to see the finished quilt! I think DWR is the ultimate quilt pattern. I'm glad my children are not going to get married soon :-)

Now to just keep the kids, the husband, and the dog out of the living room until that's assembled. You will definitely deserve a glass or two when it's finished.

Fran~ that's not gonna happen! lol My goal was to get it sorted into 'blocks'; they've been pinned together in sets so a hurricane can come through and not mess things up. It'll make it harder to chain piece from here on out, but not impossible.

You've got your work cut out for you...literally. I'm sure it is going to be stunning when complete. I've never looked at directions for that pattern and would have no idea how to put it together.

That's a whole lotta pieces...way above my piece limit. It's going to be awesome once complete...can't wait to see pics!

Well, I'm slowly making progress. Have 50 of these 127 sets sewn together. Just not getting enough quilting time, and we go back to school next week...grrr

Sometimes I feel like that's how my brain is working........organized chaos. lol The quilt will be a beauty when completed.....no doubt about it!

And you should be able to work quilting into the curriculum somehow! Colours? Numbers? Geometry? History? There must be a way.

Wow, Jennifer, you're progressing really well if you've got 50 of 127 sewn! It will be a lovely quilt, and I'm sure your step-daughter will love it. Please post some progress photos.
