Anything including marble and granite can crack if it's not installed correctly.

One cannot go wrong with Corian. My 32 yr old white countertops look like new!

See this thread: http://ths.gardenweb.com/discussions/2873196/quartz-or-dekton-neolith

i absolutely love mine. Consentino says the changed the material to make it less likely to crack and I haven't seen anyone online complaining about dekton cracking.

My clients are very happy with their Dekton to date.

The only cons I can say is the cost, heavy weight, only 2cm thick availability, front edge sheen is different than deck (top)...so if your color has veining (marble look), it will only be on the surface not the front edge.
