Your side table in just very large. Sofa size looks fine to me.

Any ideas for a new smaller side table?

Way too much going on it the corner to the right , what is the big dark thing on the left , your rug is really boring and not sure what the 2 pics are saying.

Sofa is great. The solid top coffee table is too bulky against the skirted sofa though. Consider a long oval leggy or airy based coffee table or oval leggy upholstered if you want to put your feet up, see the room photos. You might need a small drink table beside the chair. A round table in the corner with a table lamp or floor lamp only for layered lighting. Maybe a C table on the fireplace side. The floor lamp looks too tight to the fireplace there, a shorter smaller shade floor lamp would work better there depending what you do with the rest. Does the white item behind the floor lamp need to be there?

Option for wall sconces on the couch wall to add layered lighting if you don't want a table lamp or floor lamp. Is the curvy mirror staying?

Definitely not too big...if you switched it for a smaller one, you would have to also choose smaller art. The current proportions work well. I would choose a smaller end table, though.

Thanks for your feedback. I agree that the solid top table is too bulky. I will use the smaller wicker table until I find the right fit for the sofa in the room.
The white thing in the corner is a subwoofer and unfortunately has to stay there.
I do want to keep the curvy mirror.
I have recessed lighting on the ceiling above the sofa. Once I replace the side table, I'll have have more room for floor lamps.
