Faucet dilemma

Plumber installed my new hansgrohe metris faucet and the pop up drain assembly is crooked. He gave some excuse that the sink hole is too small. It is nearly impossible to raise or lower drain. Should I accept this, or insist it be corrected?

Insist that he adjust it to look and operate properly. It's not that difficult: I just put one of these in my house.

Do you ever plug your sink? I don't. Even when these things are straight they are kind of an afterthought. But I would get him to try some slight adjustment to improve the function if possible.

And the faucet has a slow drip! Plumber is already coming back to fix that problem.

I just replaced a faucet in my master bath and I got everything to work properly. It seems that a plumber should be able to do as well as I did.

Where'd the sink originate? There are lots of issues with misshapen or just a hair wrong drain holes on those cheepchinesecrap sinks that fabricators get for $5.95. Or, the prefab counters and sinks in one from the box stores or other ''bathroom retailers''.

The faucet ain't the usual suspect in this situation.

The slow drip is certainly related to the faucet.

Sink is a ToTo undermount bought with the hansgrohe faucet. Purchased from plumbing shop that did the installation.

The usual suspect on the faucet drip after a big renovation is debris. That is an easy DIY flush. Unhook the supply lines and place them in a bucket. Turn on the angle stops and flush the lines. Use a hose or air hose to backflush the faucet. Debris flushed clear.

If he is coming anyway, I would ask him to fix.
