Mulberries (Morus species) are not evergreen. If you live anywhere in the northern hemisphere, that leaf appearance should be expected, as the leaves will dessicate and fall off with the onset of winter and dormancy. In fact, the tree should not be pushing any new growth at this time of year unless kept in an unnaturally warm environment. Are we missing some info here?
