I don't think it needs anything else on the wall. I would actually lower the TV if you're keeping the console so it's not so disconnected from the console...or look for a taller console. Center the console under the TV and put a tall decorative floor vase on the right.

Hmm... I think you need to be careful that it will not look too busy. You already have a lot going on there and I don't think adding a collage of family photos to the right side of the TV will be the best option. If you want to display the family photos, you may want to make a nice arrangement on the left side of the TV, incorporating the painting. Get the arrangement closer to the TV, as if it is part of it, then the painting currently is.
Lay an arrangement out on the floor first to see what would be the most comfortable arrangement. You can add other things too. Keep everything on the left side and leave the right side empty.

It is funny i thought i had the console centered but it is totally not! thanks all for your suggestions! I've got a bit of work to do....THANK YOU!

Just don't hang your art too high up on the walls. The center of the piece should be about 58-60" from the floor. Above a piece of furniture the bottom of the piece should be about 6-8" from the top of the furniture. In arrangements with more pieces, see the entire arrangement as one piece.

If you can't change the position of the TV you could paint a color block behind the console and tv a really dark color (matched to the console perhaps) in order to have the TV and console read a one unit.
Whether you paint or not, have the TV be part of the collage. Add moulding to the outside of the TV to make it look like it's framed and have the family and other pictures surround the TV.
