Hello Houzzers! I have a question regarding the J-box placement by builder for a set of interior sconces to flank French doors in dining room. What is the rule-of-thumb when it comes to French doors that have one side wall not as wide as the other? The builder centered both J-boxes on the different width walls. I would think the J-boxes should have been placed equidistant from the French doors for balance. I apologize in advance, but I do not have pictures at this time. Your knowledge is greatly appreciated.
