We moved in June and put new cork flooring In the second floor bedrooms. We added beefier white baseboards to replace builder grade golden oak so now we have nicer baseboards upstairs than down in the main living areas until we update them as well. It does not bother me and it is not obvious when looking upstairs from the main level.
