I need to purchase a new table. I don't know whether to get a round table or a rectangular table. It will be in the dining area of my kitchen - it has the family room - fireplace, tv etc on one side, the kitchen food/prep area immediately on the other side, and a patio door on the 3rd side. All the rooms / spaces are very rectangular - I'm thinking round may soften all these hard angles, but would it look out of place? The overall mood of the space is "beach house".
