Stone used on columns

Can you tell me where the stone is from. It looks like a stacked ledgestone, but not sure. We are building home now and contractor will need to know what kind of stone we want SOON . I haven't seen a stone like this in my town. I've seen something similar, but it is very white, which I don't want. Please let me know the kind of stone, and the name of the color. Thanks!
