Desperate for advice for small living room

It seems there is only 1 way for sofa to fit. I am shopping now for a sectional that will look more suited for a small living room. Please offer any and all suggestions. I want to change window drapes, coffee table, furniture and rug. Need a new fresh and open look. I picked out a sectional at Scandinavia, but have not finalized how I want the design to look. I will be able to build the sectional. Thank you

Can you take an additional photo, looking from the front door towards the kitchen? It's hard to tell how much room you have to work with.

if we are building from bottom up, could we see pics in all directions? how many will use on a regular basis? there will be a tv in there?
