Are you quilting this weekend? Dec. 31- Jan. 1

Here we are in another holiday weekend. We had our family Christmas on Friday. DS and family came up to Columbus on Friday and went home this evening (Dec. 31). Our house is quite chaotic with 3 little boys (4,2,& 8 mo.) and DD's family of 2 little girls (3yrs. & 6 mo.) It was wonderful! We love them so much! After DS left we went to DD's to watch the ball game and eat more goodies. We fizzled out and came home after the game instead of staying to bring in the new year. This is one tired grandma.

Tomorrow I want to work on clue 6 of the mystery quilt. Last week was an easy clue so I was done by Saturday. Can't wait to start working on the latest clue.

Are you quilting this weekend?

Wow, Linda, that sounds like quite a gathering!

We're having a quiet weekend. I spent yesterday finishing my purple 4 patches for the mystery. Today I'll work on parts five and six.

Linda, that sounds like a great party to me.

If washing and ironing counts as quilting, yup, I am.

I might actually get my Allietare put together this week. I have the diagonal rows together. I have not started the new MQ yet. I may change my colors up after seeing the reveal. My husband and I both have been sick for two weeks. I am just now getting to the point where I feel like doing anything.

Wow, Linda, that is quite the gang! No wonder you're exhausted. I've been busy making scrappy log cabin and scrappy string blocks. I also packed up the cut fabric to take to Hawaii. What would we do without Baggies? I also printed out the Mystery Quilt in case I decide to do it. It's quite lovely. I may organize my quilting folder of patterns and such that I've printed off the internet. It needs a little help. Happy new year!!

I still haven't made it to my sewing room today. After getting the house back in order, I'm taking a lazy day. I'm going to see if I can use Triangulations for the quarter square triangles.

I did think I would get to sew today but alas...

i am glad I did not commit to the two mystery quilts out there for today. Copied the instructions but don't think I will ever make them.

Like Linda, I had a kind of lazy day. I put away some Christmas bits, more tomorrow, and I did a lot of cross stitching. Made dinner and now am ready for a nice hot bath, warm pj's and my ibook.

Well, I've put away the few Christmas things I put out, caught up on my filing for year end, and have the first of two loads of laundry going. And it's just breakfast time! LOL So maybe I will sew some today.

I plan on making a table runner using the quarter square design.

What is the Triangulations you plan on using for this?

Triangulations is software for printing paper foundations for half square triangles and quarter square triangles. Here is a link to the company that produces it. Triangulations

It is available at quilt shops. I have used it for all the Bonnie Hunter quilts that I have made. I bought a ream of newsprint to print them. It tears easier than copy paper.
