Dining Room Chandelier

Hi. I am debating about what size Chandelier for my dining room. The dimensions for the dining room are 14 ft 9 inches x 12 ft 8 inches. From floor to ceiling the dining room is 10 ft tall. Would a 29" wide Chandelier (28" tall) or 37" wide Chandelier (37" tall) be better?

The dining room table is 46" wide and 76" long (without leaves).

The visual mass of a light matters, it depends how open or closed up it is. The width of the table matters. I would stick with 29 inch width unless this is a VERY light and open fixture. ( roughly 65 to 70 percent of the table width)

JAN MOYER, thank you for your feedback. It is a traditional crystal chandelier, so not sure if that would fall into the open category.
