I would do drapes that go under the arches. I just love the way drapes soften a space. You could do something in a similar color as the wall color if you want subtlety. And with your windows going all the way to the floor, I think it would be very elegant.

IMO plantation shutters and all those grids on the windows would be way too much going on since right now it is a play room I would do some roman shades mounted below the arch if you need privacy and leave them until the time comes to change the look of the space the shades might still work. I would not do drapesin a play room unless they are very simple washable ones for now.

Why do you need to put anything on those windows. They are beautiful on their own.

Generally speaking, if you do blinds elsewhere, keep them consistent all around house, especially ones that face streets. Some HOAs have "guidelines" on this as well. Might want to check that out, if you have a Home Owners Association.

With this style home (beautiful!) I would do the same treatments at all front windows. It is that "Georgian symmetrical" look you want to maintain. The white blinds upstairs are fine, but all windows across front. I think I would do all white blinds, period. At least for now.

No you could do linen color, but I have neighbors who have done the darker plantation shutters in their "front offices" and it is OK, but those are mainly "transitional" homes. Now, having said all that, you can do whatever you want without an HOA. You might consider Hunter Doulas Silhouettes in light off white or to match your trims and then in the office do a darker drapery over those. The great thing about the Silhouettes is they are "blinds and sheers" all in one. So you get soft look and some privacy while also can close and get greater privacy and light control. Might want to look at those at least for front windows.
