Casualties :(

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a good holiday. I had a bad case of the flu over the Yule season but I am doing better now. However, when I was sick, my plants suffered some lack of water and some of them look like they've bitten the dust. These were small plants I received as cuttings in October of 2015 or earlier. Still, I feel bad for their dehydration and downfall. They were on the shelf above our washer and dryer. All the rest of my plants are doing great, however. I see a peduncle still alive on Nikki, so I hope to see her flower this spring :).

Don't fret, Brad. I call it "ebb & flow". We go through periods, and it's not necessarily about health, where we fail to care for our babies as we should and we lose some. I'm in that place now myself. I have no excuses, except that I feel overwhelmed by the shear number of plants I have right now. So my plan is to cut back...so I can appreciate the ones I love the most. In spring, when I'm ready to reduce my population, I'll send you a list of the ones I'll be parting with.

tlbean, The ones I can remember are: H. nabawanensis (I think that's how it's spelled), pubicalyx "Bright One" (hanging on somewhat-it has a green leaf or two), latifolia, parisitica variegata, anulata, and that's all I can remember at the moment. My Mathilde is hanging on, too, and we all know she hates being dry for too long.

Yeah i lost a couple I tried a hybrid but not sure why I just couldn't seem to get the watering right. Not sure if I will try it again or not. Maybe. Hoys Australis lisa was doing good but then went downhill. Changing light from less light in winter? Lost a couple others but most are hanging in there I bought a Hoya Kerri and it seems to be doing well. ALso bought Hoya Chelsea and it seems to be doing well so far. Unfortunately my Hoya tricolor decided to abort blooming oh well. I wouldn't mind trying Hoya nicholsonaie but it's too cold to ship it right now. Will probably have to wait until spring to order more Hoyas.

I also lost my multiflora after it flowered this summer, but I was happy to see it flower :). My kerrii is also losing leaves. Two of the three vines are bare. (I think I let it dry out a little too much). But I think it'll recover nicely. Would like to get some more pubicalyx "Red Buttons" since it is my favorite out of all the pubicalyxes.
