Agree no shutters, not right for the windows. Agree, one color paint with some trim color. Lighter colors with dark trim would work better. Fence is ruining any appeal. If you go white or light on house, I would at least whitewash the fence.

Thanks all. The fence was put there by the seller and will be going, probably replaced by an actually full-sized fence. Good to see such agreement on no shutters!

Flo Mangan, interesting idea to do dark trim. I've seen it but if you have any examples you love, I'd love to see them. Will keep an eye out in my neighborhood for that.

Downbytheriver, yes, considering faux brick. Very common in our neighborhood.

before you make your choice, get the fence out of there, and look the house as a whole then, also if the fence goes does it really need to go back? could shrubs work. the fence really cuts into the look of the lot on a whole. also, thinking about it the brick might shrink the windows even more..

I agree; no shutters, all one color and some taller plants once the fence is gone.

No shutters no faux brick either , don’t know what you mean by full fence but IMO that will just hide the rest of the house a simple fence not pickets but sort of like this with a walk and a gate leading to the front door and a picture of the front door would be helpful too
