I know the rule is 36" for an exterior exit door - but what about an interior door that leads directly to an attached garage? Does that count as an exit door? We are thinking of moving the garage-access door however the location we'd like to move it to would only fit a bit less than 36". The garage itself has another exit door to the outdoors, plus of course the car door.
