When I saw your post title, I wondered if you'd been on the kitchen forum :) cause only a baby calf warrants quadruple exclamation marks, lol.

The calf was one of a set of twins. The mother was overwhelmed with 2. We tried to corral the 3 into a pen, but the mom would not let this one near her. They have to get the colostrum milk within hours, (not sure if 12 hours is too late or not) Anyway, We worked for hours to try to make it work. Calf got weaker. Calf was probably 6 hours old, give or take a few hours. My sister in law is the one my DH calls to tube feed calfs that are too weak to nurse. We keep frozen colostrum in our freezer for these times. She gets it for us. There's a dairy near by that she gets it from I suppose. Well this day, I told DH that we didn't need to stress this poor calf anymore then necessary and that I didn't think it was too weak to nurse. So I insisted we just get to bottle out and I'd feed it. He reluctantly let me do it. That calf was kind of my friend for the next day or 2 hahaha. We got the mom and both babies together after that and they all did fine. One of them eventually adopted another mother though, another mom who also had twins but lost one.

I'll post the video when I get to my computer. Can't do it from my phone.

I am so happy it all turned out fine with a happy ending. You can not have a better friend then a baby calf LOL

Growing up I spent some time on a farm from were my father father grew up. Lots of animals and I were in and out of the barn with dirt up to my ears. The calf sucking on my fingers. Love it.

I love your care of the animals, I respect that alot and it makes my heart warm.

Now we all now why you needed a second set of Miele washer and dryer Lol.
