What variety is it and do you know the root stock or is it seed grown.

I would plant that tree in the ground. Find the sunniest spot you have in your yard, a southern exposure is best so that it will get sun in the winter as well. Citrus can take full sun, you might have to provide it with minimal shade protection it's first summer but after that the tree should be fine. How cold are your winter temps at night? I know some folks here on the forum that are in the Tucson area have to protect their trees when they have a rare deep freeze. A citrus tree in ground is much easier to care for than potted citrus. In about a month you are going to need to start fertilizing, go to any big box hardware store (Home depot/ Lowes) and find a product called "Arizonas best citrus food" it is a great citrus specific fertilizer and use that to feed your tree throughout the warm season. I can see your tree is grafted, what variety is it?

IM NOT SURE ABOUT THE VARIETY EITHER. NEVER TRIED GROWING TREES OF ANY KIND BUT A FRIEND FOUND THIS AFTER SOMEONE SET IT BY THE DUMPSTER SO WE ARE GOING TO TRY AND SAVE IT. THANX FOR ALL THE HELP.

Can you take a close up of the leaves? Does it have thorns? Looks like it might be a key lime.
