Thanks so much for the responses. So I guess my next question has to be - What is the minimum number of rainless days I should have after pruning?

Also, what about frost or freeze? Can I prune if there's a hard freeze or frost in the immediate forecast?

That little freeze or frost you get I wouldn't worry, my orchard gets trimmed regularly in winter by moose at minus 30C without any problems.

I would not worry about frost or freeze. But as far as rain I'd wait until you have a 3-4 day stretch of dry weather. I don't have a huge orchard so I can do all my pruning and scion gathering in a single afternoon. I like to prune and collect wood and then spray dormant oil with copper. It's nice to have a day or two of dry weather afterwards.

It's difficult to get a dry stretch in va. it seems to rain almost every day. i pruned mine yesterday and it drizzled later in the day. I am positive there's a connection between pruning in the rain and disease. :( I will have to wait and see the damage on mine.
