The JRN on Breen has a new shipment of wax jambu Black Pearl variety coming in from Hawaii 2 weeks ago. It was in 5g pots for $40. I bought one but wont bring them back to Austin until March because I'm running out of space inside my greenhouse. I also have a Kong White Wax Jambu that is frozen to the trunk from not having it inside the greenhouse mid Decemben when temp went down to 23 degrees. They are very sensitive, and would need cover under 40 degrees.

This is a Red Wax Jambu I picked up from Vuon Cay Houston on Intervale South 45, it was brought inside the house during the freezes so it is still alive. Thanks God

thanks!! I was at the jrn on Harwin this last weekend. the outdoor plants took a lot of freeze damage. the ones inside were only in mediocre shape.

im going to go to the jrn on breen this weekend to get maybe two. I'll probably keep them indoors in the sun room if it gets cold again

I used to shop at the JRN on Harwin, I went on a shopping spree since September, the tree bug bit me hard so I kept on buying trees every time we go to Houston (once a month). The JRN on Harwin sold plants faster than the one on Breen so a lot of their plants dont look very good by the end of the year. I bought a Makok sapodilla and a pink guava from them that were filled with scale insects. I dont think they spray their greenhouse. The one on Breen is much better in my opinion, the owner is a younger sister and she is more knowledgeable about their trees. If you want mango trees, their selection is very good, and a $35 3g mango tree is very big since they dont uppot their trees by the end of the season likes the JRN Harwin often do.
