Help with quartz stains!

I have tried baking soda, the razor trick and bar keepers friend. These spots are near the faucet, so my thought was water spots when I turn off the faucet after washing hands. House is a year old, we have a whole house water softener...

Maybe this stuff. I'd test under the escutcheon first.

Joe - I remember you saying (I think) that quartz does not like standing water - I've been making sure I wipe up frequently since I read that. Is the quartz that is not polished - the underside and drilled holes as impervious to liquids as the polished top? It just seems that that stain might be related to that faucet or the drilled hole. I have no answers - this just makes me wonder.

It would be interesting to pull the faucet and see if this is plumber's putty bleed-through.

This is making me crazy-but it extends beyond the faucet but only on one side. But some of the spots are probably 4 inches from the faucet. I have tried to be careful with cleaning product, but I guess you never know.

Eric, do contact both the installer and the manufacturer. Also- are you confident that the water isn't leaking, leaving you with constant "wet"?
