    Good Morning, This is the thickness of the mylar plastic. 7.5mil is primary for brush or roller painting. The 10mil is a little thicker and can also be spray painted. Also if you plan to use this over and over again then I would recommend 10mil. Thank you Alison Stencilease Customer Service
