Not worth saving; for such a nice cutting, I'd figure the root system would be larger, and less...stringy.

I'd do 50/50 and keep in warm location with bottom heat. Water once until rooted, but mist twice daily. Callistophylla usually roots without much issue, but bagging or tupperware may be appropriate, since it is already dehydrated.

As always, thanks so much for your help. I have a big glass jar w/lid I can put it in and place on a heat mat. Do I still need to mist twice a day?

Naah, once a day should be enough, if it is jarred up!. Just make sure you air the jar out for an hour or two every 2-3 days.
