Good morning, I wouldn't hesitate to bring in painted furniture in as an accent.

Painted furniture is fine. I would just caution that sometimes, white furniture against white walls has a very bland, boring look. If your walls are light in color, I would much rather see the tables painted a darker, saturated color.

You make a very good point, soberg ;-) I have not picked my wall color yet, but it will be very light...doing the room in creamy white, pale blue, with coral as my accent. So I think I will go with the darker wood...a nice balance...hadn't thought about the white wood against light walls...thanks a bunch!!

But let's think for a minute, sometimes you want furniture to fade away. There is nothing wrong with whites and warm whites and dark wood colors. It makes for a more interesting room.

I agree...thinking I may use darker wood for the cocktail and end tables, but warm whites for accent tables/lamps. I will post photos to get some feedback!
