Why no rugs?

Both the family and living rooms are void of rugs. With the gorgeous hard wood floors through out covering some isn't going to compromise them. Also in the bedroom. Who wants to touch cold floor first thing when you wake up?

Hi there, and thanks for your feedback! This young couple has just invested all their savings to renovate this home with a baby on the way too, so adding the finishing touches is yet to happen. Also bear in mind that many modernized Dutch homes are equipped with under floor heating to make the cold winter's more bearable. Holly

yes I agree the floors are magnificent. What type of wood flooring is use? Love the wide board.

I have had exposed hardwood flooring in bedroom for many many years of living in an energy inefficient home and the one thing guaranteed to be toasty of an early morning is my hardwood flooring! The pipes that run water through the heaters must have something to do with this I am sure.
