A tall mirror with a salvage look, metal and antiqued glass would work, or prop a piece of art that ties in the colors from your cow prints. The mantle looks too narrow to accommodate most decorative items, but you could prop some layered photos or framed prints against the mirror to add interest . Love your funky style, but I think the table will have to be pulled out from the wall to allow someone to use those chairs.

You're definitely on the right track. Your place is amazing. How about a beveled glass piece or a wrought iron gate? I like your idea of a fretwork panel, too

lovely table and chairs ! great cows !!! if you put something over the fireplace try and make sure it's not wider than the fireplace as will look top heavy if you do that ! any more cow prints ?! a jersey one perhaps ?!?!

OnePlan is right about no wider than the fireplace.

how about a picture of a barn? :)

A collection of cow bells on the mantel.....A barbed wire wreath?

original artwork is always preferred over prints
