Our entry faces SE in our Santa Rosa, CA home. The existing doors are cracked and it appears that the surface on these painted doors is delaminating. I have spackled and painted, but the sun hitting the lower part of the doors just ruins them.
We would like to replace them. Would a solid wooden door with a lacquer be best?
Also do double glass storm doors exist that are beautiful? We would like to use these to keep the entry doors open during the winter and allow the passive solar on the entry tile to warm the foyer.
