Setting the house to min 58 F ensured the Cat Spa and our lap use. It was also better for mature house plants and lower gas bills.

Lower gas bills and tiled family room helped jusify T55 fluorescent plant lights gifting extra heat production (especially from above), This warmed our hearts on cool evrningd and also expanded the range of plant passion possible. Economical plant acquisition and some marked safisfaction was supported by Biodomes sitting on a nearby pedestal, used in cold weather to start costly indoor and select outdoor seeds. Maturing plants from the Biodome needed growing space ... etc... it's cyclic.

A distllied water still generated rain quality moisture to hand mist plants with intermittent dilute foliar fertlizer added, just so we didn't need to add bats.

Cats eliminated any flies or bugs generated which make their way to floors or window areas ... also was our indoor cat entertainment system. One must remember to feed cats and when lights off provide bottom (lap) heat..

Gravel filled plastic cement mixing trays were used to support ground level plants and catch mist droplets. The trays also supported correct hydrology, humidity and a more positive marital relationship.

A Beautiful World Jungle at your elbo, seasons enabled with 24 hr light cycle timer, and TV entertainment system to side. Flora, Fauna, and TV (to position lap Cats) thus all justified and enjoyed, with no required travel cost away to a time share. Have you tried airport flying with a cat and box? A Litter Robot is more better at home.

Unexpected Fragrances Alert

When we overwintered a wacked down nearly to base large tub Brugmansia in the back corner of this jungle, B. 'Maya' will bloom a cycle or two and reach into the lights, before it is safe to move outside. And you will be incensed a night. Being winter you can't open the windows for long. So you thus may need to prune this big Brug, and even sell off cuttings. Otherwise they multiply and out number you. Which is their goal anyway.

Night Blooming Jasmine (I've only read thus far) is recommended with caution for indoor blooming (let's test seed and make sure). And you likely want to change that cat box, sooner than later. Helps to feed them too.

If not ever pruned into submission, forcing a stored Brugmansia back outside when Spring temperatures are safe is key to protect against fragrance induced insanity also potentially spider mite build up. The cure for serious exposure to either may include, but not be limited to an additional wackdown.

Important Safety Notes

We found our Cat owners were not attracted to nor did they eat any part of our expanding set of Brugmansia plants be they attached, unexpectedly severed, or naturally fallen. Nor did we eat any parts of these highly toxic plants or consider them recreational.

The window view to the outside behind the Indoor Jungle was not great, which was why we installed the plants and cats in the first place. However, we still opened the window blinds for the first few days and intermittently thereafter. We felt this wise to help convince our neighbors and passers by that we were growing beauty and not illegal or dangerous herbal remedies. Full Disclosure: I did start magnificent Red Castor Bean plants there once. Aren't plants strange? One person's beauty can be another's bane or remedy.

We happily report no night visitations by red/blue blinking lights or by those otherwise holding flashlights. However one can never be sure about aliens.

Long haired small tabby is "Kenya" my daughter's cat, when she lived with us.

Short hair tabby is 'Coti' (prn. "co-tee:) after the grain pattern in Zircote wood. Our other daughter asked us to take him as a kitten when her roomate who got him discovered a cat allergy.

Coti's 6 lb-er. Has a nice natural camouflage pattern. Likes to jump onto your shoulders and ride around the house. Shocked me at first but I've gotten used to it. Cool climate means thick clothes, so it doesn't hurt. He doesn't shed much at all.

On the other hand his friends do. His play buddy back then was 'Odin". Odin the more aloof "Lola" are our daughter's cats. She's went through a transition and dropped them off with us awhile.

She's talking about moving again and dropping off the other two.

Gosh now days if you don't get your KidZ back during their changes, you get their Kid(Z), or Cat(Z)!

Having some Flora and Fauna at home are great. We take care of each other.

I am down to two cats. Taz domestic short hair is a tuxedo cat with asthma and Bunnies Manx tori with diabetes. Both arends seniors. Two dogs Australian Shepard Moon Unit Badger and Rusty who chases squirrels and airplanes in the air.
