You could paint, whitewash, greywash the stools to distinguish them. Or add seat cushions in a polished cotton or even a plush or velvet.

If you're going to use this table as your dining table then I'd recommend chairs and not stools.

If this is just a kitchen table then stools might be fine. Don't match the table. Go with iron or another metal. Bottom 2 from Ikea.
