Watermelon Bay

I haven't posted in this forum before but I've been growing African Violets of various kinds for about 40 years now off and on. Anyway, a lot of things blooming on my shelving racks right now so here's one of them.

Watermelon Bay is a very changeable semi-mini that stays pretty close to true mini for me at about 4 inches across. It has large flowers for the size of the plant that can be fully double or semi double. When they aren't fully double, they are bell shaped. I love how the flowers in cooler weather have rosy purple edges to the outer petals with the inner edges being the more usual white frosted. The leaves are heart shaped and are almost clackamass. I'd say not /quite/ true but very close. Tidy grower.
