'Summertime'

2 stalks I believe
Tag said 14"..haha....more like 35".

This is the 2nd stalk of 4 blooms.

Question; I also have a dish with 3 bulbs in it, but only leaves no blooms..what causes this?

These are very old bulbs....about 20yrs.
I had them planted deeper, like half way down, but decided to bring them up a bit.

Thank you so much...Are you asking about the 1st pic of a pink bloom? It's called 'Summertime'

If you're talking about the dish with no scapes I forgot what they are called. They are very old. 20 yrs. or so.

I have no idea why this didn't get taller?! These 2 bulbs are new this year.

'Summertime'...I pollinated it with the Miracle Sympathy. and vise versa.

Ok, now look at this Goofy thing.?! it's also a pink one. and 2 more pink ones coming in the mail.

This is my new plant stand....haven't filled it yet..want to get some more Saintpaulias & Chiritas.
On top is a Spathiphyllum, middle shelf is a Chirita Periwinkle, Streptocarpus Bristol's Ribbon Candy & S. Grotei Silvert clone. Babies still.

Maybe some scented geraniums would look nice too.

I moved the Spath out & put my Lipstick vine up there on top instead....much better.

Debra, I can't wait to see the completed stand! Its going to be gorgeous! Love scented geraniums , especially the rose scented ones, but they don' like the hot humid summers here. :(

No more scapes....My very big Spider plant that I call Mother to all my other ones was just watered & hangs with a swivel hook attached to an large S-hook to the pole rod above the window...well the swivel broke & down it went right on top of my 2 pots of pink amaryllis...crushed them both & all the scapes broke off. I couldn't have hung it in another window ...right?!! sigh.

Well, not all is lost. My 2 pink amaryllis bulbs that were crushed are putting up new scapes, both of them. I'll try to take a pic.

Oh Debra I'm so sorry. We've all had those dang mishaps and after some colorful words, we pick up and start over again. I'm happy she's putting up another scape :-)))

Ok, here are the ones that were crushed, they are in the clay pots.....and others I just planted.

Dancing Queen in the white enamel container & Apple Blossom in the yellow pot..the 2 that are to the left are Hadeco's. One is a Belladonna Rozetta & the other is 'Zombie'.

There are 9 Goldfinches on these 4 Nyjer socks, but only 7 can be seen.

It's been snowing since this morning & will continue through the night into tomorrow sometime. We already have over a foot.
It's been wicked windy so it's tough to be exact with the total amount.

It started as rain, then sleet and now a heavy wet snow. I think we'll all have to batten down the hatches for this one...bird feeders are all filled and Romeo is having his late afternoon meal. I don't know where he spends the night. My wish for us all is that nobody loses their power.....☺☺☺

    do you let Romeo out?!

OMG!!☺☺☺ Debra, Romeo is a wild turkey and free to roam anywhere his little heart desires!!! He just loves our yard because there is a never ending supply of sunflower seeds!!!

Oohh! That's right, I forgot....So Sorry..well, see if you can find a used dog house on the curb in your travels...a temporary winter shelter for Romeo & Juliet too...I'm such an animal lover, nothing I can do about it. ;))

We still have a wind warning. high gusts.

He had to shovel this....can't get the snowblower started. we have a long downhill driveway that ends in with a 3 car parking area...it's never been touched, so I'm stuck for awhile.

Well, lets hope for some heavy melting...soon!!

Wild turkeys spend the night in very tall pine trees, they look like buzzards when you are lucky enough to catch a glimpse of them.... In the summer they will sometimes spend the night in a deciduous tree with heavy leaves and you have to pretend not to see them or they will get upset and move!

Tough when the snow blower doesn't work isn't it!! Ours crapped out this year too but we happened to have a smaller one that was my father's and it saved the day during this last storm and the previous one....☺☺

Poor guy, finally got it going...he almost froze to death by the time he was finished....that wind was wicked all night long.

    Hi Debra,

My best to you and the Mr. . If possible...stay in, stay warm, enjoy the wildlife and scenery :-))))

Thank you so much Fred.....I'm a quilter & have more of them than I know what to do with...So we keep pretty warm here..but we are cold acclimated people. Especially me & my son. My Mr. not so much...he's eastern european..I'm Mik'Mak' indian of New Brunswick & the rest canadien french...

I remember when he was little he often got sick on the bus in the hot months..I always made sure he had an ice bottle with him when he went to school.

My Hercules has recovered pretty good from being crushed. The leaves are about 10" tall now......

I received a plant (unmarked) of course from Hirt's. It's not anything I've seen before.

And this is my new Pixie Syngonium, I moved it to the north room after I took the pic.
I asked my Mr. for his old step ladder, I'm using it for a plant stand. I cut a scrap piece of wood I found in the garage & am using it for a bottom shelf..

The empty pots are for some Trailing Geraniums I have coming in.
