Perhaps a picture gallery (framed music sheets interspersed with other pictures) - to the right where the cat scratch pole is, place a live potted plant (ficus or some such) that is about 1/2 as tall as the piano

Can you just move the cat climbing thing out of there and move the piano down a little bit to the right? Can't tell what that dark piece of furniture is on the left, but it is very close to the piano.

Maybe the couch is the problem. If you'd show us then entire room - all walls and furnishings - you might be surprised at the solutions we'll come up with for you!

The couch is new and the reason I had to move the piano off center. Post more pics tomorrow.

kristenabc, that tv cabinet really takes up a huge amount of space for what it is doing...Is that the only tv in the house? I don't like the way the tv cabinet is there and then the hutch is in the next room. Too much going on. Any chance you could move the piano against that wall where the tv cabinet is?

Oops! Oversized sectional! Should've asked Houzzers before, and tried an apartment sized one. That said, I agree with handymam - the two matched cabinets are too much. I would sell the TV cabinet on Craig's List and then you'll have options. One wing of the sofa should be on the TV wall while the other faces the window and separates living and dining areas. Then you can center the piano back on that wall. Put your sofa table in the window, flanking it with two swivel chairs. Buy a low credenza for the TV and put it at the railing, which I would seriously consider replacing with a pony or knee wall that you can have wired for the TV gear.
