You set the rpm just as fast as it would go. Which means as much oxygen as it can handle. Which means little fuel and much oxygen. This is a lean condition, and like a cutting torch, gets really hot. Run the screw until it is fast, and 4 cycles, you can hear it start burbling, and then back out as much as you can but stay in the power band. At least half a turn back, maybe one full turn.
