What type of mantle should I install over fireplace and what should be done on the other side. This space is in my dining room

This fireplace is in my dining room I have to put a mantle over the fireplace I was thinking reclaimed wood the color on the walls is Poised Taupe by sherwin Williams I'm not sure if this room an handle a rectangle table or just a round on here is the photo.
