That's a lot of wood! I recommend finding photos of espresso kitchens with wood floors and look at a lot until you have 4-5 that you really like. Show those to your floor guys and have them give you something similar.

How light is the counter top? What type of wood are you using for the flooring? I assume the wood will be in the kitchen?

A light/natural hardwood can be very easy to live with. The kitchen is one room of a house. You will want to think about the total look in the house vs. getting the perfect hardwood for the cabinets and having the "wrong" look throughout the rest of the home.

Look to your counter top to help you find a balance for the flooring. It is a simple way to get things to work.

Depending on the styling, this would be a scenario where natural might be the thing to do!
