I live in a home built in late 1920's with real oak woodwork throughout the home with some rooms stained different colors....my problem-the kitchen cabinets and woodwork match, a medium oak. I would love to paint the cabinets white but don't know if this would look right. I have a lot of woodwork, three Windows, four doorways. Can I paint cabinets white or can I stain the cabinets a darker color and would that look good? the walls are currently painted gray and the countertop is grey/white marble laminate with beige, gray tones in glass tile. Your help appreciated.
