I have seen this before as I believe it will stay and when you vacuum it will also show the marks from it. Go back to the place of purchase and ask them, or go to the carpets web site to check it out.

What happened in the end - did it settle down or the company replaced it? Just got a carpet and same happening - looks a mess :-(

The carpet shop certainly is not going to give a refund you should have chosen a hard twist carpet with no pile .I hate to tell you but most carpet are not going to talk you out of a purchase if you don’t ask they have no responsibility to imform you of the problem.

I got this new carpet fitted in Friday. It’s horribe with all the marks . Did anyone manage to get theirs changed

we had a grey carpet fitted that did this, and it really got me down every time i looked at it. but we had a surplus piece made into a rug and this did not happen on the rug. i wonder if it my be something to do with the underlay

A smaller piece will not show the change dramatically. Any fabric, carpet, towel etc. will show a different reflection of light depending on how the pile is smoothed down or pushed up.

I know it's outdated, but my 90s berber carpet lasted for 20 years, looked great till the end and didn't show footprints.

I was aware when I chose it, that there would be subtle variations in the color. I researched this carpet thoroughly❣️The color variations are subtle and my husband and I are very happy with it. I have the carpet in my living room, and also upstairs in my hall and 3 bedrooms.

I always thought this is how you know someone just vacuumed!
