Mirrored nightstands would be elegant and glamorous. And you don't need to worry about matching colors.

White nightstands in a traditional form would make the room more transitional/modern. You could then do lamps in a color, like blue and white, and get a few pillowcase covers in the same colors to make the bed pop.

Black nightstands would also work.

What a chic bed. You need a greyer finished wood. Ethan Allen has the Wyatt, and quite a few others that come in grey based tones and are really well made.

Since there is not one thing wrong with the style, shape or proportion of the side tables?? I'd get thyself to a paint store!! Glossy white, charcoal, black, ? A weekend project and done. Have a piece of glass 1/4 inch cut for each top and enjoy.

Decently sized night tables are the single most over priced category of furniture on the planet, and you're going to end up with something in one of those colors anyway : )
