I like the one in the middle. Nice pattern.

The top two are pretty Grey in color. If the paint on walls uses a grey tone that is ok. However if your wall colors are more cream colored the bottom one gives you more options for using complementary colors. The homes these days are heavily saturated with greys and using grey toned counters locks you into using grey even if the industry changes away from grey. Counter color not easily changed later on.

they're all nice. did you have a backsplash in mind? if the splash you want is a bit busier, then pick the middle one. if you will be doing something plain (like the ever-boring 3x6 subway) then go for one of the granites. the top one is nice w/your cabinet.

if you do pick the quartzite, you will have to baby it a little more than you would your granite. keep that in mind. in fact, get a little sample piece and do the lemon juice test ton it.

Watch out for rust in the last one.

The first one is my preference.

The cabinet is very traditional and looks creamy (warm color) on my screen. Have you decided on flooring? I think all these are too dark and not quite right. Have you considered soapstone or Jet Mist for perimeter counters and something lighter if you have island?

Flo mangen we are doing a peninsula and prob wood floors. So that will help contrast. We haven't decided on a backsplash yet and haven't looked at those types of counters but will. Thanks.

Def the 3rd is my least favorite and after all of the rust comments I think we are def eliminating it. We got a price on the middle which is the quartzite and it is very expensive. So we are deciding. I think it's our favorite but we do have to consider the pricing.

If we do it, it will have two seams (not sure if that will look terrible). If we want seamless we will need two slabs which is out of budget. So I'm not sure if we should just go with the granite in the first picture and be able to do the seamless.

Do you have any other options? Do you realize this color combo is going to be very traditional? If that is the goal, great. If not, I would keep looking. Granite right now is the least expensive of the natural stone options. Do you have an island? Can you post a layout of the proposed kitchen?

No island. This is kitchen. I am kind of a traditional girl but I do want a nice updated feel. I am not contemporary at all but I want my house to flow and have a warm feeling.

For that kitchen, I would do white cabinets, shaker style (keeping it simple and clean) and a granite like White Spring, and white beveled subway tile with matching grout. I would keep it very simple and clean with stainless steel appliances. Something like this photo.

White shaker cabinet, only these are not overlay doors. Overlay doors are less expensive than these and easier to install. White backsplash and for granite, White Spring, or something similar. To get this light countertops I this photo you need quartz. Granites don't come in that plain white look. Here is a photo of White Spring. Of course, you have to go to the granite yard your builder sends you to and check out what they have and what price points are in your budget.

She already posted the cabinet she chose in the first post (pictures above). It is a bone/off white color. It will definitely not be a cave with the cabinets she selected.

I am having trouble getting a photo of the granite to post. But you can go to kitchen-design-ideas.org and look for granite and White Spring to see their "sample". This granite varies widely from one fabricator to another so you have to actually set your eyes on the exact slab and make notes of the slab number and bundle number and take photos, preferably with your rep holding up your cabinet door so you see cabinets up to the granite.

If the cabinet you choose is white, not yellow undertones, then that would be fine, however, just be aware that when you get in closed space, with minimal natural light things can get more yellow than you think. Another way to check out granite for the overall look, is to look at the sides. This is the main view of granite in your situation anyway. You won't get a "long view of an island" so that is something to consider. If you can get to the granite yard and see the slab which I highly recommend, then see if they have a finished piece so you can really see what it will look like.
