I am using this linear drain for a single slope mud bed design where the mud bed is coated with waterproofing (such as Redgard or Hydroban). The linear drain flange then is set into the waterproofing layer and then the thinset and tile installed to the top of the drain lip. Unfortunately this lip prevents any weeping from under the tile/thinset to reach the drain which is of course is unacceptable. The instructions do not help at all.
