Below please see inside view . Note that there are 2 shelves and both are removable..ie the shelf with the drawers could be placed at the bottom, OR where the upper shelf is, in lieu of where it currently sits.

I need to get someone to go into my showroom and get inside dimensions for you...may be a day or so, but at minium wanted to get you this photo.

Ruth, do I understand correctly that the shelf with the drawers can be moved?

also, the dimensions that I need are from the bottom of the interior to the top of the interior excluding shelves. I have a 55 inch tall easel that I need to store in this cabinet along with some canvases and paints.

ok...here goes.

Yes, the inside shelf with drawers, AND the other shelf can be removed...which still leaves you with the outside pair of drawers.

so there is 17" between each shelf space , which gives you 51".

The drawers on the movable shelf are 3" high..which, if you take this unit out, you are up to your 55" minimum needed as you have at least an inch for the encasement of the drawer.

Also, wanted to advise that the inside depth is 16" and the inside width is 32.5". Thought that would be useful info as well.
